My name is Whitney and I am so happy you are here! Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my website. This has been a dream of mine for years and I can't wait to start sharing more of my work with you.

I currently live in Lehi, Utah with my husband and 3 beautiful children, and spend the hours while my children are at school in my basement studio. I graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Brigham Young University (Provo, UT) with an emphasis in Drawing & Painting, and spent a term studying at the Santa Reparata International School of Art in Florence, Italy, which was definitely a highlight of my college career/life.

While in college I fell deeply in love with oil painting and began making abstract, conceptual art to explore my connection to the Divine through pattern, symbolism and metaphorical imagery. The paintings in this collection are not abstract, but I've found myself drawn to the symbolism that exists in the natural world as it relates to spiritual things and our connection to God, and I knew this was the next step for me as an artist. After a particularly difficult year, painting the rivers, trees, fields, pastures, valleys, clouds and skies—all used as spiritual metaphors throughout sacred song and holy writ—has been healing and life-giving for me in every way. May it be the same for you as well.
